John Sherrill has a passion for the presence of God and for leading and facilitating moments where people are invited into encounters with God. As one of the founders and now fathers of the 220 conference, he has served as one of the primary voices and architects of content over the last 25 years. His deepest joy and privilege is to serve Jesus and the generations, encouraging and calling people to live a crucified life, embracing a lifestyle that declares “it is no longer I who lives, but Christ that lives in and through me.” John believes that the resurrected, born-again life, surrendered to the Holy Spirit, is the path to live in victory and purpose. John, and his wife Kelly, are privileged to pastor Declaration Church in Spring, TX, and occasionally will still travel to lead in different capacities at other events.

NO LONGER I
In the year 2000, John and his wife Kelly began this 220 journey where they imagined an atmosphere and culture cultivated and committed to the study of scripture, passionate worship and prayer, which was all driven by the desire for authentic encounters and a pursuit of the presence of God. What could happen in people’s lives when they meet with God in a powerful and tangible way? That became John and Kelly's primary motivation for all of life and ministry. Along with a few other key student pastors, many who still are part of the 220 collective today, they seek with deep intentionality to see the Spirit of God move and minister with a focus on raising up leaders of all ages to walk in radical faith. They believe in KINGDOM unity over denominational boundaries and desire to challenge and call people to a crucified life, so to see future generations rise up in resurrection power in His Name, by His power, and for His glory.
220 is a multi-denominational ministry that finds unity in the essentials. Based on Galatians 2:20, the 220 Conference is far more than a camp or a conference it is true community united by prayer, study, worship, and fellowship seen in Acts 2:42.
